She previously served five years as the Director of Organizational Development & Communications at the Boys & Girls Club of Jackson.

Renee M. Jones’s career is distinguished by her dedication to fostering organizational growth and community engagement. At the Boys & Girls Club of Jackson, she was pivotal in enhancing communication strategies and organizational frameworks, significantly contributing to the club’s outreach and effectiveness.

Raised in historic East Jackson, Jones is deeply rooted in the community she now serves. Her academic credentials are equally impressive. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Master of Business Administration from Union University. She is currently a Doctor of Education candidate at Brenau University in Georgia. Her educational journey underscores her commitment to lifelong learning and leadership development.

Jones’s professional path includes 16 years at Union University, where she served in notable positions such as Director of the Hundley Center for Academic Enrichment and Associate Director of the Vocatio Center for Life Calling and Career. Her leadership philosophy, deeply embedded in her Christian faith, emphasizes servant leadership and visionary thinking. Jones is celebrated as a motivational speaker, community leader, and advocate for the individual’s development and empowerment.

Her accolades include being named a Sterling Award Winner: Top 20 Most Influential Women in West TN, the Woman of Excellence Award from the Tri-State Defender in Memphis, and the prestigious GM Savage Legacy Award from Union University. Additionally, she was honored with the Diamond Award and served as the graduation speaker for the Leadership Jackson Class of 2023. These honors reflect her unwavering commitment to excellence and community service.
