Union University’s Macey Neal was named to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-Region first team for the south region. Neal added this honor to the first All-GSC honor and ABCA second-team All-Region earlier this month.

Neal, a 5-foot-5 junior shortstop from Dyer, Tennessee, posted a record-setting season with Union. She set the school record with a 21-game hitting streak and also led Union with 11 home runs as the team blasted a program-record 48 home runs this season. Neal led Union in almost every offensive category including average (.453), at-bats (161), runs (51), hits (73), doubles (11), triples (4), home runs (11), RBI (45), on-base-percentage (.458), and slugging percentage (.776).

Neal led the GSC with her .453 average, was seventh in slugging percentage, ninth in on-base percentage, seventh in OPS, seventh in runs, third in hits, and seventh in triples.

Neal added GSC and a TSWA Player of the Week honors this season, leading Union to its second straight GSC Tournament and fourth since joining the league. She missed the final five games of the season due to injury.
